Dear Diary,
Ever since the war broke out between Britain and the Thirteen Colonies, I've had to go into hiding. I truthfully and honestly support the Brits, but the Patriots who support the Thirteen Colonies are out for anybody who doesn't agree with them. Yesterday, I saw the most horrendous sight. My best friend, Thomas Randolph was abused because he wouldn't say whether he was for the Brits or the Colonies. They stripped him of his clothes, coated him with tar and feathers, and paraded around the town on a wagon. Now that's just wrong. That's why I'm in hiding. Oh no!!! I hear someone coming. They sound like Patriots. They've found my hiding place. I have to get out of here. I'll talk to you later if I'm still alive.

You better open up! Or I'll gut ya for it! You saw what happened to your friend Randolf. well that'd be an understatement to whats comin' to you if you don't leave in the morning! How could you even be in line with all these taxes? They're OUTRAGEOS!! OPEN UP!!!!
